Clary Sage is well know for its euphoric action. It may be beneficial in managing anxiety, stress, nervous tension and low moods.
Clary sage is known as one of the most important essential oils as a women's remedy. It is believed that all three phases of a woman's life benefit from Clary Sage - the menstrual cycle, child birth and menopause.
Menstruation: Clary sage is renowned for the the relief it brings to menstrual cramps because of its spasmolytic and analgesic action on the womb. Clary sage demonstrates uterine stimulant and emmengogue properties that lends it to promote menstruation when delayed, scanty or completely absent.
Childbirth: Clay sage has been known to have a relaxant effect making it helpful to release tension and anxiety during pre-labour and labour.
Menopause: Clary sage has been suggested for managing menopause due to the possible oestrogenic action.
Clary sage has been recommended for managing asthma as it may relax spasms in the bronchial tubes.
In skin care it is recommended for oily skin, greasy hair and dandruff.
