Steep 1-2 heaped teaspoons in hot water (boiling water will make the brew bitter) and drink throughout the day, topping up with water as necessary. It is traditionally drunk from a hollow gourd using a bomba/bombilla (metal stirring straw). Can be drunk hot or cold, with or without sweeteners such as agave, honey, or sugar.
