Spearmint oil shares similar properties to Peppermint. It has only a trace amount of menthol so it is less harsh on the skin. This lends it to be good choice for children with digestion problems. Spearmint oil is known to be uplifting, reducing mental strain and fatigue. Used as an inhalation it may decongest sinus problems and catarrhal conditions. In skin care it is recommended for the treatment of acne, dermatitis and congested skin.
